There are some "interesting" pictures of someone launching an H216 down in Chile where the boat is in the water apparently still strapped to the trailer. See link. I hope they don't think this is how the boat is suppose to be sailed ;) It goes a lot faster without the trailer strapped on.

Looks Creative to me

It looks like they found a creative way to move the trailer to their difficult to access dry storage ramp. Lots of folks on my lake use the trailer just like that on metal ramps extended into the water so they can dry store their boat. The trailer wheels go in the tracks and they just winch the trailer up the ramp. It probably the least expensive way to dry store your boat. A lot of power boat owners here actually have a garage built at the top end of the ramp that the boat gets pulled right in to.

Name?

I hope the hyphen changes the meaning of the "name" the chose to use. Strange choice, if not!!!

Probably spanish

I would certainly hope it is spanish *yks. I know that in french "qui" translates to "who" as I think it does in Spanish as well. Since the boat is in Chili my speculation is that it is Spanish. Maybe one of our bi-lingual members can translate for us.

Translation

You are right, qui in french means who or that. Qui has no meaning in spanish. The person that posted the pictures, probably the owner of the boat, is Ignacio Quiñones. The first 3 letters of his last name is QUI. I assume that the last 3 letters of his boat's name are probably the first letters of a family member, maybe Fernando or something of that nature. By the way, the boat is in Chile, not chili.
