Hello all, my name is Anthony and I've owned an interclub 12 since last summer(2012). I've been looking around this site for a few weeks now and I've learned a lot. My boat has yet to be in the water because of my lack of time and having to do a few repairs. The rudder needed to be sanded and re-glassed along with a new swinging centerboard. For the centerboard I had to trace the old one on to a piece of pine, cut and shape it. ( i know probably not the best wood to use but i figured let me not mess up on an expensive one. i have never used glass before and figured a 10 buck piece of wood is better than a 50 dollar piece to practice on) I'm waiting on some screws to remount the brass bracket on the boat side of it and then I will glass it and remount it. I have set up most of the sail lines and I've used the search function on here to get some great ideas from some of you. I hope to post some pictures in the near future and I look forward to talking to all of you.
On another note I'm looking into sailing schools right now. I feel I have a higher understanding of most things mechanical than most others and I fully understand the mechanics of sailing but I look forward to learning from a trained sailor. I'm looking into New York Sailing school out of new Rochelle NY but if anyone has other recommendations please pass them forward.
Sorry for such a long first post, I'm just really excited about getting back out on the water under a sheet.
