Insulating the hull

1990 First 285 -- as I contemplate the headliner replacement (you know, foam backing crumbled) I decided that I want to insulate from the hot sun, especially in the aft cabin. I am wondering what kind of insulation to use, how thick, and whether I need a foil barrier. Then, of course, how to put an attractive hull liner over this. I am thinking: - foil barrier against hull - 1/2" owens-corning foam building insulation - hull lining material glued on top, or wood paneling Use furring strips, glued to hull, and screws to secure foam or panneling, if used. Suggestions?
