decided to drop some spreader lights on my mast while it is down and was wondering if anyone has any tips. Looks like I'm gonna run the wire inside the spreader but outside where the mast and spreader meet then drill a hole in the mast for the wiring to enter. Have to run them together as well (as i only have one switch on the panel open) Thanks!

grommets

I did the same and used rubber grommets to protect the cable where it comes out of the mast. I run the cable in with the rest of the cable in the raceway, drilled a hole in the back of the raceway and then again through the mast under the spreader. I only had one switch too. Steaming/deck Combination Light

Perhaps an easy solution would be to install a steaming-deck light combination unit. It could replace your existing steaming light but would require two more conductors. To prevent wire slap inside the mast the wires should be run in conduit.

As Eric says...

...use grommets and put a drip loop in the exposed wire from the spreader to the mast. Might consider using shrink wrap on the exposed wire for further protection against the elements. Jeff Jones Escapade

Thanks for the advice everyone. Dropped them on today and it went fairly well. Cant wait to get the mast back up and check them out. Thanks again.
