Hi Gunni, I will get in touch with you when I am near Annapolis. Looking forward to meet you. By the way, how did you screw the rub rail into the hull? I assume you have pre-drill the rub rail and then screw with some 3M caulking.
Hi Syversens, no I did not replace the railing, I took it off and they integrated the arch with the railing. The vertical sections at the far aft, where you lower the seat to gain access to the scoop, are the only vertical pieces that were kept. When I installed the arch these two vertical pieces went right back in the original holes and I bolted them in place with backing. The two section of 2'' SS that you see on the sides have special plates on top and backing plates underneath. I don't have detailed pictures but when I go back to the marina I will take more pictures and post them.
The folding arm is nice and when opened you can lock it in place to lift the outboard. I asked them to install a special railing on the starboard side to install a Edson outboard support. I choose starboard for the outboard because the 361 has a tendency to list to port. The arch also comes with special brackets that are used to lift the inflatable. I have installed 3:1 purchases to lift the dinghy, very easy, my wife can do it and it is a AB rib, about 130lbs. Again I will take some pictures.
Beneteau install the linear drive in the port lazarette, see the attached diagram. I choose to install it under the propane tank container because this is not a space that is frequently and it is difficult to access. I also installed a Webasto heater in that section, you can see it in IMG2. You will notice that I had a backing SS plate made and that the other side there is a solid piece of wood to distribute the linear drive push. The linear drive is bolted thru the SS plate, wood and supporting bracket. I bought the special bracket made by Beneteau that fit nicely under the quadrant. I also attached the dimension that I measured for the arch.
Metaux Produits DT, Alexandre Lahaie, 1-819-533-3222. around $7,000CND for the arch so maybe $5,000US depending on options.
