I have an 87 Hunter legend 37. I would like to add refridgeration, and would like to know which make is best and WHERE the compressor is installed? Does anyone also have any ideas on how to make the box itself better insulated? Thanks, Wilf
On my L37 the compressor is installed under the lower shelf, under the galley sink on the port side. That puts it in close proximity to the ice box. The refrigeration lines pass through the partitions under the stove and into the upper ice box. The plate is a reverse "L" shape against the port and forward walls of the ice box on the upper shelf. My unit is a Norcold.
