Installing auto pilot H 29.5

Almost finished installing ,ray marine ev 100 . I have a couple of questions, the wheel drive motor has two wires that connect to the acu 100 ,the instructions does not say which wire goes to what terminal , does it matter ? The acu 100 has an internal 10 amp fuse do I need to put a fuse in the power in line to the acu , if so what size ?

Look for + and - sign but not the power inlet. Connect wire. Then press +10 to see if wheel turns to starboard. If it turns to Port instead then reverse the connection. Fuse should have been connected already.
