My old h27 has the basic A-panel with only the three idiot lights. Can anyone tell me how to hook-up a warning buzzer (any Radio Shack 12V piezo will do?) so that will come on with each light. The complete wiring harness seems to be there, and I have a wiring diagram. Thanks!

Getting a BUZZ

Don't go off on your own on this one. Just buy the thing from Yanmar. It will wire right in. And do it's best to wake the dead. They are loud! Actually, I'm surprised your panel doesn't have the buzzer. I thought they all had it and the only real option was the tachometer.

Agreed

I just did it. I Radio Shack won't fit the hole and the Yanmar plug. It cost ~ $145.

I figured it would't fit their huge hole, or ...

automatically plug itself into the panel's wiring harness. But at $145.00 for a BUZZER(!), I figure a solid state 12V piezo panel buzzer from Radio Shack (95db/7mA at 12V - $7.00) can just be mounted anywhere on the panel and be clearly heard. As for the wiring, the wiring diagram clearly identifies the circuit's color coded wires and it can't be that difficult to wire it to each light and a common ground! To me it seems worth a try, will let you know how it turns out... I can buy a boom vang for less than the price of their buzzer!
