I have read on this forum where some of you guys hang small hamocks to store items on the boat. My wife purchased a small hamock from Wally World yesterday. It is for a childs room to store stuffed animals. It looks like this will do the job for us. My question is for those who have hung the hamock...........what is the best way to attach the thing to the boat. I shutter when faced with making a hole anywhere in my boat. We thought about peel and stick hooks, but wanted to hear from those that have experience. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

I hung three hammocks on my c250, one each side of V berth and one in head. The V berth are hung using the little picture hanger doodads with the bail with the perfstrip portion screwed to the liner teak strip using the screws which hold the strip in place. The head one simply secures on one end to the lav spicket and the other slides behind the bulkhead panel to a dowell section which draws back up to the bulkhead. As with all boat mods, give a project a little time. Don't rush into things to discover that more thought was needed before drilling. Generally if one sleeps on a project a few nights, mulling, cogitating... the multitude of factors that play into the mod make themselves known and then the actions taken are as deliberate as possible.

Its an easy job

When these fish net type storage hammopcks came on the market decades ago, I could'nt wait to put them to use. The best place is in the V-berth. The boat stores have hook hardware just for these. They require two 3/8 to 1/2 inch screws to secure the them to the teak trim pieces running mid-level along the sides of the v-berth. I like the tight fit so that when loading them up (clothes to towels to bedding), they will not sag too much. The net takes the load and its amazing how much you can sotre in these. If you do not have the teak trim, you can epoxy a small block of wood onto the fiberglass and attach at these points. Regards Bob
