Installing a cdi furler question

I want to order a cdi furler to add to my Hunter 22 (81 model) do I need to get a different fore stay or does it work with the original?

Works with the original assuming it is the #2 system. One thing. When shipped direct to you and the extrusion is curled in a tight circle, get two other people to help you to unbend. Have about four large nylon ties in addition. You will have to unbend that into a reverse circle along the ground or pavement until the ends meet and then apply the heavy duty ties. Leave in the sun and after a period of time, then cut the ties and it will straighten out. Good luck.
