My 1983 H-30 is on a mooring in a pretty calm harbor. I have purchased a binimi and want to install it while I'm still in the water.
I need to know if I can safely unhook the backstay if I run two of the spare mast head halyards to the port and starbord a toe rail a little behind the winch pods and snug them up. My boat is on a mooring in a pretty calm area and I have a roller furling on the forestay.
I have a single the backstay that divides into two about 7 feet over the deck of the cockpit. I think I need to temporarily remove the backstay so I can determine where the two back stay cables will pass throug through the top of the binimi and then install them.
Any advice and or suggestions would be much appreciated.
