Has anyone installed a Raymarine ST4000t or new S1 in a Beneteau 323, 343, or 373 ? The pivoting wheel assembly requires a different mounting bracket than the one provided. I would like to know how it is done.

Pivot Wheel Bracket for Autopilot
Got an ST4000 on a 343. Dealer installed. Used a special bracket. I believe its a Beneteau part. They had to get it from France, I believe. Cat

Modified Bracket and Bits
Hi . From what our dealer said and what I saw they use a modified bracket to fit the Autohelm unit . You do have to dissengage it if you want the wheel back and if you get it wrong then you need a set of replacement gears . These strip if you grab the helm and try to move it without first disengaging it . After a long discussion decided on a factory fit instead ..

I like the ST4000
we have the ST4000 on our boat too, the lever to engage/disengage the autopilot is easy and so far I never forgotten its on. I only use auto pilot when not behind the wheel or when working on the deck, not hard to forget that the boat is stearing itself. I would like to get a foldable wheel, anyone have any experience fitting the autopilot ring on those ? Or the wheels in general ?
