Too obvious...146 drain plug?

Ummm...how about the all too obvious...is the drain plug in?
I was pumping water out of my bilge, from that 4" access hole in the stern, until I realized that the plug had worked it's way out - you know, the one just under the rub rail at the aftmost point of the boat.

You can replace it with a Seadog - 520010 (that's the whoel assembly - I forget the part number for just the plug, but it will tell you it fits the 520010.

You could probably just use a cork or a bottle sealer until you figure it out.
I hope it's something that simple, and embarassing, so that I can have company in MY embarassment this summer!

If not, I don't have any good ideas. Are there any cracks at the centerboard surround? Try calling Hunter if none of our experts here can chime in...

(P.S. lucky you to have a lift!! Mine sits in mucky water at its slip!)

Check the cockpit drain

The cockpit drain tube can leak, but to find the leak try using LOW presure air in the plug hole and a spray bottle of soapy water.

It appears as if the hose from my Hunter 146 cockpit drain has become detached at the point right under the drain. Hose is just loose in the inner hull. Any suggestions on re-attaching??? I can't fit my arm far enough in to reach the connection point...
