Hi all!! I am about to aquire a 31 irwin with a missing centerboard .. I have a 27 irwin with a good board I am thinking of scraping ( the boat not the board) and it has a good centerboard already out ... does anyone know if they are the same size and if I can use the 27 board in the 30 ... is it possable to put the board in with the boat in the water ? also need the sail size for the main sail ..blown away by hurricane don't ya know. This is a fixer upper of the first order so will be full of questions ... thanks jd

Did you ever find a centerboard solution? I have the same boat from 1969 and the ctrbrd is missing. I does however sail quite well without but I would prefer to find or fabricate one anyway. I have my original mainsail in the loft. If you still need, help, I can measure it for you. I have since replaced the original anyway so have not real need tot he original. Not in very good shape anyway. Good luck!!

'69 irwin 31 centerboard
i also have a 69 irwin31 that is missing its centreboard too. i'd settle for a sketch. i've made several for other boats. it's not too difficult. i agree that it sails well without one but the boat is such a great boat i'd like it to have all the fingers and toes it was born with.

I don't check this site often wanted to see if you ever got your centerboard replaced. Interested in any reasonable solution so let me know what you came up with.
