own my second hunter 1984 34. where are your batterys located, and also the location of your air cooled refrigeration condensing unit. i am looking to relocate both. currently by batterys are in the lower starboard sette floor and the condenser is on the shelf above it. this vessel came from florida and i cant see this condenser working to well with no ventilation under the sette. the battery location makes it almost impossible to service them.

On my 84, the batteries are on the floor of the starboard cockpit locker, next to the fuel tank. The fridge compressor is also in that starboard locker, further to the back and on a shelf suspended to the floor of the stern lazarette. The caveat is that it puts more weight on the starboard side but since I have a lot of tools and spare parts under the settee on port side, along with one the water tanks, it somewhat evens it out.
Same as Claude.. Battery in original place in stbd cockpit locker. My fridge was water cooled, so the compressor and condenser was in the locker too, above the fuel tank. I installed a remote watering kit to service the batteries and have been very pleased.

Same here - I have a 2 battery house bank and a starter battery in original place in stbd cockpit locker, a tight fit for 3. If you have not read the discussion on placement of batteries long ways port to stbd, you should. No fridge but did instal an A/C under the aft STBD Sette. I also installed a remote watering kit for house bank (looks same as above but from a different website) to service the batteries and really happy with it. They seem expensive for what they are but you can stop crawling down to check the water levels - just pump and it adds water if needed. It makes adding water so easy it is worth it.
