Info on offshore performance of 1979 Catalina 38

I am thinking about purchasing a 1979 Catalina 38. What information can you share with me concerning this sailing vessel? What is her offshore performance? Anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Glen, I have an 82 you would be welcome to go for a ride on Lk Mich. I'm doing a solo race this weekend from holland MI to mid lake to Mich. Cty IN (110mi) weather forcast is 25-30kts and 8 to 10 foot.. and she will do great in this stuff lookin forward to a great ride!!
