Just got a used Bombard Tropik inflatable. It's in good condition, however, no oarlocks, seat of floor.

Does anyone know where I can get replacement floor, or can I make one out of plywood?

Also, the thing is dirty. Is there a solvent that can take off sticker residue without harming the Hypalon? And what about a general cleanser?

Thanks,

Mike

I just reskinned mine and the directions said use acetone for hypalon, but I read on the web that toulene or tolol or 'to-' something was preferable. can't rember what the tol- was, but they siad it was packaged under 2 different "tol-" names but they were both the same thing. the acetone didn't really seem to do much at all. I scrubbed hard and even scratched large areas with my fingernails, as it seemed to be the only thing that worked.

If the unit is made of PVC it will be sticky for the rest of it's life. This is usually a prelude to the seams giving up the ghost.

I have a PVC Zodiac and its a sticky mess and its only 9 years old  and I have not pulled it out this season, been using the 23 year old hypalon Achilles but found out about a paint product that restores them to like new so I might give that a try on both of them and hope the PVC unit becomes unsticky with a new coat

island girl products are good without any chemical mess or destruction....i found them at downwind marine....gooodluck......toluol is bad for ye and do not smoke around acetone -- but acetone is a good remover of glues---- but those are excellent for the repairs---making the glue stick to the hypalon....you are klucky to have gotten 9 years out of a 5 year dink----gooood work......hypalon used to have a 20 yr warrantee---pvc only 5 .....
