I just purchased a 7-year-old Avon rollup that is in good shape. It was stored outside in the summer (Midwest) with no cover and cleaned every year before it was put away for the winter. Is there any product that will do a GOOD DEEP cleaning? Also, what is the best way to check for pin hole leaks, if in time, it has one.

Island Girl here on HOW

That stuff works great on inflatables and fenders. Wipe in on with a paper towel, let it sit awhile, wipe if off with a clean paper towel. Like new!

soapy water in spray bottle and Island Girl

Richard: Like Mickey stated, Island girl gets rid of the oxidation. If you use a brush I think that it even works better. To check for leaks, just put some liquid dish soap in a spray bottle. Pump up the inflatable fully and spray around the areas of suspect leaks (leaks will cause bubbles). It also gives you a chance to wash it up at the same time.

Amazon Inflatable Boat Cleaner

This product is about $12/qt and contains no silicone that can prevent a glued repair later on. It works very well - just spray on and brush and rinse off. It was highly recommended by my Zodiac dealer.
