I have a ’95 seaworthy that is in Great shape. Partly because I rarely use it and it stays rolled up in storage. I was wondering what products are recommended are to keep it looking new. These could be household, automotive or commercial. The blue stripe on the side is the only thing that shows age, because it is chalky and leaves marks wherever it touches. Thoughts/Ideas?

My Zodiac dealer recommends....

NOTHING except "Amazon Inflatible Boat Cleaner". His claim is that this particular product contains no silicone and in the event of a needed patch, the surface will accept that patch. Using cleaners that contain silicone (I guess that many do) will embed themselves into the surface so that a patch cannot be reliably made. Regardless, the product works great with moderate scrubbing. I used to use Westley's Whitewall tire cleaner on other dinghies before learning of Amazon. They also worked well and I still use it on power cords and fenders. Rich

I used Island Girl pink on a very old and grubby Quiksilver inflatable last year and it really did a very good job.

I use it to clean my rubrail, and nothing else comes close to doing the job. The catalogs have pulled it, but I called West and they found it on a back shelf, probably labeled "Too toxic to ship or sell." I swear by it.
