How long, in days, or weeks, can/should one leave a fiberglass boat (Mac26x) in the water without bottom paint? Once set-up I would like to keep my boat in the water at the dock for a few days/weeks, but don't want blisters.

Barrier Coat.... now!

I would strongly recommend you not only put bottom paint on the boat, but also an epoxy barrier coat. fresh water is actually worse for blisters than salt water. I am currently redoing my bottom. Preventive treatment is much cheaper, and easier in the long run. but you can probably get away with a week or two without problems..... for a while.

Mel,

Water Time

Thanks, you are the first to even give me a clue as to how long, actually it would only be a few days at a time, before putting it back on trailor. The parking lot by the local boat ramp is for day use only with no un-hooked trailers.
