In the Water Survey?

Is there such a thing as an in the water survey? If so, what's included? Is that a good alternative to a houl-out and full survey? What about the approximate cost?

yes usually an in the water survey isnt very tough tho spend the extra $ and do it right or youll be sorry

In the water survey

Dick some insurance companies will allow an in the water condition and valuation survey depending on the age of the boat. Usually if the boat is more than 20 years old they want a short haul on the boat to check the hull etc. Basically everything is checked except what is below the waterline. I would not reccomend that anyone buying aboat not haul the boat so the rudder etc, and be checked Charlie
