We have a new 356 with in-mast furling. The main has a loose leach that tends to flap when the rest of the sail is full. I wonder if the mast bend is insufficent to trim the sail properly. Ideas? Comments? How tight should the forestay be?

Leach Line

We have a 380 with in mast furling. It takes a little getting used to on adjustment, but once you have you will love the infinite reefing capability and ease of sail handling. Try tightening the leach line (adj. is under UV flap on leach of sail) the sail needs to be mostly unfurled to do this. You may also need to move the draft forward in the sail just a bit using mainly your outhaul and vang. There are some good articles in the sail adj. form. Good luck.
