I am considering installing an in-boom furling system for the huge main sail on my Vision 32. Has anyone dhad this done? What systems work. Of course I am interested in keeping the main sail track without adding anyting else to the mast; concern over weakening the bloody thing. Thanks. Leigh

In boom furler

I was looking into the in boom roller for the mainsail, for my 30' it would have been around $10k. This includes about $6k for the new roller boom, plus cost for a new main sail, sail has to be altered for this system and cannot handle stays that are not horizontal (as far as I could tell). General feed back on in boom roller reefing was good, better sail shape, less loss due to fatter mast (required for in mast furling). But, heavier boom can be a disadvantage. Will be interested in your decision and results.
