I find that to extend the blade of the rudder into the sea, you have to exert too much force. I was planning to add a small block with a mechanical advantage of 4 inside the SS 2" tube to make it easier. Any other ideas?

CHEAP FIX
The quick, easy and CHEAP way to do it is to push the blade most of the way down with your foot, cleat off the line and sweat it down the rest of the way. Paul s/v The Lord Nelson
