Improving the ColdMachine

I am in the middle of replacing my SuperCold machine I installed ten years ago with a new Cold Machine. New vs. Old comparison: Highs: -improved efficiency (so I read.) -LED monitor -low voltage cut-out (hurray!) -smaller condensor -putting the fan in the middle where it is protected from wayward docklines. -RJ11 connector for the temp control. -Making the coolant line nuts small enough for a 10" adjustable wrench. That was really annoying in my first install. Lows: -15ft of copper tube. I needed 5ft. What a pain. -Ridiculous standoffs. Put a soft "star" on the inside of the plastic standoffs so they grip the screws enough not to fall off. Better yet, make the standoffs screw to the wall and the evaporator snap onto the standoffs. -Aligning the screw holes for the evaporator. Have you guys been inside a Hunter 30 icebox? Make the screw holes horizontal slots! Oh, and the template for the holes was . -Put an unpluggable link in the temp control line; I had to drill a big hole for the RJ11 connector. Or make it easier to unplug the line from the control. With luck, this one will last longer than 10 years; or at least the refrigerant won't become politically incorrect so everyone refuses to work on it. Overall I'm a satisfied customer.
