I'm really excited to announce that Al Fooks has joined the team at HunterOwners.com.

Al worked at Hunter for 23 years, starting on the assembly line, then running assembly lines (the 410 and 460 among others), later working alongside Eddie in customer service, processing warranty claims, being the liaison to the various fabrication departments... in short, just about everything a person can do as it relates to building Hunter sailboats.

He has a unique understanding of both the component parts and the assembly processes that will be a big help to all of us.

Al is available to help you by phone and through our customer service system. Later this year we may even talk him into hosting a forum. ;)

Please welcome Al!

Al;

A change of weather? How about an email old friend. Sometimes it gets to be a bit Spooky around here if on top of this mountain. I would like to hear from you and welcome aboard. Only what I know.

Al Welcome aboard. I am a newer sailor, only a year at this, and have used these Forums for information I probably could not get anywhere else. It has proved to be an invaluable tool and those that have responded to my questions have been most helpful with the information provided. Also love reading various forums too and look forward to reading whatever you happen to post. Who knows, may have the need to pick your brain one day. All the best.

Welcome Al, Can I put you to work right away? I have a '95 Hunter 40.5 and want to remove the hood as some one in the past re-routed running rigging and now lines rub against each other coming into the blocks. Do I have to remove the main sheet track completely?

As someone who is a novice and who purchased a Hunter 19(1993-6) yesterday, this is great news. Am still learning my way around this website. You will be tired of hearing from me.
