The Tef Gel is not where you left it. Mine keeps moving around, playing hide and seek...... and winning.Went to the local hardware store and found Allen head, 8/32 thread size to match. Now I have to find my Tef Gel on the boat.
Be careful, the tubs have an affinity for taking a dip. Unfortunately they don't know how to swim. The Tef Gel is not where you left it. Mine keeps moving around, playing hide and seek...... and winning.![]()
To the best of my recollection most of the screws are 1/4 20. They are for sure on the seawater pump on your Perkins.Hi all,
Are all screws for the cover plates on impellers the same size thread and guage. My Northern Lights generator has nice hex heads on the screws. I would like to put similar screws on the Perkins engine instead of the slotted screws.
The 8/32 by 3/8 long fit perfectly. My wife helped get half of them started where my hand couldn’t get in between the hoses. (Of course it faces aft and has an oil pressure sending unit three inches away.). I borrowed my neighbors TefGel because he just bought it and knew where it was. I’ll leave all the old screws in a baggie for the next owner.Went to the local hardware store and found Allen head, 8/32 thread size to match. Now I have to find my Tef Gel on the boat.
While the yard was repairing the hurricane damage to my boat, the Admiral and I did several projects and upgrades to the interior. That involves removing screws and wood parts. The screws went into separate baggies which were taped to the wood pieces they went with. The wood pieces were marked on the back side as to where they go back. During the course of the retrofit, several of the baggies came unstuck from their wood pieces. And the baggies were not marked. "Do these screws go with the forward trim piece in the quarterberth or the aft trim piece in the v-berth?" ARGGGG!!!!!I’ll leave all the old screws in a baggie for the next owner.
Be sure to label them, "Important. Do not throw out."
But don't mention what they are actually for.![]()
