Hello, my name is Tim.
I looked at the H28.5 the other day and now I'm buying today.
Hope you dont mind all the questions I will have.
I'll be reading through past posts to find answers first.
I feel I'm paying a fair price, but who knows with the way the boat market
has been. I had a Pearson 28-1 and liked the 28-2, but the asking price for the 28-2 is double the price I'm paying for the H28.5
What I have read about on the H28.5 is good and everyone that owns them for the most part give them a thumbs up.

Congratulations on the new purchase. I bought my 1985 28.5 last fall and found a ton of information on this site. Now I don't feel like the new guy anymore. :)

What is the best way or key words for searching for posts for the H28.5 on this site?
I've been bouncing around through but haven't found the reviews posts.
I hope to keep the H28.5 for a long time. I hope it sails as good as she looks!

Unfortunatley, the H28.5 website is dead. But there are lots of owners here if you have specific questions. I owned one for over 12 years and thought it was a pretty good boat value. Perhaps like you, a friend of mine had a Pearson 28-2 and paid twice what I paid for the H28.5. While I think the Pearson is a better quality boat overall, you can't beat the value of a well-maintained H28.5. Interestingly, whenever I cruised with the Pearson 28-2, I always arrived at the anchorage first. The Hunter just outsailed the Pearson every time....

Thank you for the replies , Merry Christmas

I'm also looking for the bow cleats that mount to the toe rails.
I did buy two to mount on the deck just aft of the anchor locker in side of toe rails on the deck
