My ignition key switch appears to show signs of coorosion. Looks like aluminum corrosion. What can I spray in there to help prevent it?

I guess the universal answer is WD40, but I'm sure other skippers have their faves.

Yup, everyone has their favorite. Mine is "Corrosion X." See http://www.marinestore.com/CorrosionX.html?cart=3361960225326479

I am not a fan of WD40 and have had more problems with it than I care to remember.

Finally, if your ignition switch is corroding, you may gain greater piece of mind and confidence in your ability to start your engine when you want or need to by simply replacing the switch. It will be money well spent.
