The handle on my cooler on my '99 240 broke off. This actually happened last year, probably on my second trip. I just kind of ignored it, but it is becoming a hastle now, carring a full cooler with only one handle. Is this cooler available at other locations, like K-Mart or is it Hunter specific? Is there a model number? Has anyone else had problems with the handle? Thanks in advance, Dan

THE COOLER IS A STANDARD SIZE AND MADE BY MANY COMPANIES. TAKE YOUR BROKEN ONE WITH YOU TO ANY K'MART OR WALMART AND YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM FINDING A REPLACEMENT. MINE IS STILL HOLDING UP AFTER 2 YEARS, BUT I HAVE 2 THAT I ROTATE SO ONE IS ALWAYS SUPPORTING THAT SEAT. IT'S FUNNY TO WATCH A CREW SIT ON THE SEAT WHEN THE COOLER IS NOT IN PLACE. WELL UNTIL THE CREW TURNS OUT TO BE YOUR WIFE @@!!!%%$##.

Get a Handle on It!

I've got the Igloo parts list for all those wierd parts like handles and plugs. It came with the manual to my H23.5. Just send me an e-mail address and I'll scan the 2 pages and send them to you. email me at: wouffhong@att.net Ken S/V WouffHong

Believe it or not

I saw the exact cooler at Tom Thumb- a local grocery store for $14.95. The two differences were that it was red with a white top and the handles were actually built into the side (as in recesses rather than handles). I'm going back to get one as it's the perfect size to fit in the space between the V-berth and the portapotty to extend cruising range-i.e. beer cooler.

Believe it!

Igloo makes a "Family 25" cooler with the molded in handles for a fraction of the cost of the "Marine 25" Colemann has one that size too. The only thing really critical is the 13" height so that some guest doesn't sit down and fall into the bilge! Ken S/V Wouff Hong
