Identify these portlights? Hood, Pompanette, Bomar?

I have ten of these stainless steel portlights on the 1996 Tartan 3800. A couple are leaking, not the window gasket, but through the frame to boat joint.

It seems pretty straightforward to remove them to re-bed, but I wanted to see if I could find instructions.

I searched and found pics that look identical, but identifying them as Hood, Pompanette, and Bomar!

Maybe it's the result of industry consolidation, mergers, etc., but I don't know.

Can anyone please identify this light? Sorry for the poor quality of the pics.

They look like Vetus ports. I have them on my boat. But then again, that same design is used by many. Are there no markings anywhere on the frame?

Also take a look at Manship. That's the brand Seaward used on our boat. Pic of outside might help nail it down.

Thanks. I looked at the Pompanette Hood Passage series, which they also I.D. as Bomar, and in the text is says "no exterior visible screws." Mine have exterior (and interior) Philips oval-head screws.

Here's the outside:

I may call Tartan and ask, but I recall they lost a lot of records in a move or fire or something.

Since Tartan is still in business perhaps a call to the company might answer your question. I know that Sabre keeps extensive records on all of its sailboats and how there were built. Perhaps Tartan does the same.

I think that Bomar is sold by Pompanette. Hood may have brand labled them as well. The brand labeling comment is just a guess. Pompanette is the first place that I go when looking for replacement hatches & portlights. They have a lot of stuff.

SESmith's Man Ship's may be it, JViss. They have the screws on the exterior:

Thanks, all. I appreciate the interest in helping me. @SG and @sesmith , I think they may indeed be Manship. (I have the screens for mine, too, which look just like the ones in the Manship catalog.)

Well, aren't you in luck! I just ordered and received that exact port; Pompanette Portlight H6540-125-A 5X12X1.25 SS Rec Port w/ Screen. Notice the dogs are oval. It may not be the same dimensions, but $ to donuts it's the same port.

Awesome! So, to re-bed, or re-caulk these, I imagine I just take off that exterior trim ring, apply butyl tape, reinstall the ring so the tape squishes out between the trim and spigot?

Thank you. Do you recall which was best in this application?

The smaller ones. I also have some larger ones that I've never used. Not sure on your Tartan, but Seaward cemented them on with 5200. With some care, and use of several wedges, they eventually popped off. Had to straighten a couple before reinstalling. On the first port, I removed the port also. Huge job with the 5200. With all the others, I removed just the outer trim plate, and cleaned off as much bedding as I could. 3-m plastic bristle disc on a die grinder worked well for that. Just have to be careful you don't hit the fiberglass with it (at least where it will show later). Cleaned off with denatured alcohol and rebedded with Sikaflex 291. Didn't use butyl tape as the screws on my Seaward are bitty things that wouldn't be able to squish the butyl without stripping out.

An oscillating tool with a scraper blade will cut through 5200.

Marine Debond will also work. Apply some, use wedges to gradually separate the parts. It doesn't dissolve the 5200 it causes the 5200 to lose its grip. As the parts begin to separate add more Debond until they come apart.
