That is possible. It is the type of hull shape that could lend itself to being kit built. Don’t suppose there’s a hull identification number inscribed in the top right of the transom?Is it possible it could be a kit boat? I get the feel that it might older like pre-1975 or definitely less the 1980's. But again I could be wrong, lol.

The Thistle is not hard chined so it isn't a Thistle, but it looks similar. Thistles were and are very expensive, if in good shape, and have a very large racing fleet in the US. It would be my choice of boat if I wanted to race. Classic beauty, style and fast .It does look pretty close.
@mulaasigirl do you have the dimensions? The Thistle is 17’ long and 6’ wide. Sail rite also gives the dimensions of all the sails at Thistle Sail Data to cross check.
