We need to add a GPS connection to our ICOM VHF Radio on our 2002, 466. How does the radio, installed above the electric panel at the Captain's Table, come out to the panneling? It does not seem to budge and trying to to through the electric panel was not produced results. Many thanks.

Remove front panel.

I am just doing the same thing on my H-36. On my boat the whole front panel the radio is mounted in has to be removed.A screw in each corner holds this panel in place. Orginaly these screws where covered with plastics plugs mine have since fallen out. A RCA plug (male)you can get at Radio Shack connects GPS to radio. Now if I can get it to read the signal I will be able to answer more questions. Good luck.

ICOM Radios

ICOM Radios have a flush mount kit that has two clamps on either side of the radio that are accessible from the back. Loosen the anchor screws (hand-screws) to loosen and remove the radio.
