OK - I know what can go wrong with the foam insulation. Too much expansion can break-through bulkheads etc. Even so, there are at least 2 kinds of foam insulation on the market (Defender). So, what have people found in practice? Is one kind better than the other? What horror stories or successes are out there?

my experience

I used generic spray foam from the hardware store on my 410. Twelve cans of it. Drilled little holes in places you couldn't see, like behind the stove and under the sink, and then loaded it up. The foam ran out of cracks between boards in a few places, mostly in the bilge, but didn't cause any structural damage. The difference it's made for my refrigeration system is amazing--cut the compressor running time in half. One trick: if you have outlets or switches in the galley over the fridge, such as the solenoid control, remove those panels and spray down behind them.
