I want to take out the wall covering access to the icebox draining hose so i can replace the floor in the galley and fix the leak of the icebox.... I keep taking out screws and it is still not breaking loose... how do I get the wall out? do i have to go in from the backside in the battery compartment?

AJ,

I have never done this but I have crawled into the compartment behind the ice box to complete other work.

There is a wooden shelf that is screwed at various points. I guess that would be to the piece you want to remove.

I certainly deserves a good look.

It would be great if you could take pictures as you go along. They always help the next guy in line.

Also not too sure on what you're trying to remove, but suspect it's the vertical bulkhead opposite the sink. If so, then that's not what you need to remove. See the following pics, originally posted at: http://forums.hunter.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?t=115195&#post686507

You can get your hand under the bulkhead to feel the connection point for the hose, though it's a tight fit and tools might be hard to use. However, once you expose the bottom in this manner, you can drill a new hole in the icebox and run a new drain.

Good luck.

it is the bulkhead im trying to remove, is that typically what people do is cut a new drain hole? I don't know exactly where the leak is, I know in the past I read of someone adding insulation around the ice box to help keep it colder longer, I cant do that with the bulkhead there, not completely sure it needs it eaither.

I will take pictures as I explore.
