Ice Box Drain

We have a 1982 Hunter 27 sailboat and cannot figure out why the ice box drain won't drain. We cannot see where the drain line goes since it's built into the galley cabinet with partition walls blocking the view from behind doors and drawers. We've tried to snake the line but can only go so far before reaching the end of our snake. It looks like about a 3/8" drain with a 90° turn right at the sink so we've have a hard time getting something to make that first bend.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Try to blow it out with your dinghy inflation pump. I think they usually just drain into the bilge. I re routed ours into our shower sump.

While configurations are likely different, for what its worth when I had that challenge I opened bilge and under-galley accesses to expose any hoses/tubing then tugged to identify the appropriate drain hose. Once identified I spliced in new hose and since I didn't want to drain into the bilge, I tied the new hose into a shower sump.

I did not like loosing that nice cold water around the cans and things that could stay wet. also was not a fan of the mold in the pipe..... so I put a cork in the drain and I use the
kid's supersoaker on board to eliminate standing water when I want to drain. The supersoaker also works great for the last bit of water in the bilge. Don't find it to be a bother. Just another thought
