Ice Box Drain

Our ice box drains between the inner and outer liner and the water gets stagnant and smelly. Only some of it makes it into the bilge by the motion of the boat while underway. We've resorted to keeping ice in bags or containers but would love to find a better solution. Any ideas?

Is there any way to get under the icebox and connect a hose that can run directly into the bilge?

You could raise the floor with epoxy and form a drain channel to the opening so it is the low spot.

My boats previous owner installed a small pump that outputs into the sink drain. Works just great!

That's an interesting thought. Do you have info on the type of pump as well as where he put it? A

Please forgive my lack of knowledge on this. Can you provide more info on type, size, or brand so I can research this idea a bit further?

Or to prevent a nasty streak down the side of the boat, let it drain to a shower sump, then pump it over a vented loop above the water line and then out below the water line.
