Thanks for the Photo Forum look at your new dodger Ian. It looks really good. I recently priced a new one from Island Nautical. They want over $1100. withOUT the frame! I have an old IN that is serviceable but getting weak and is the wrong color. I am working on the fly between that dodger and my bimini. My traveler is like yours and I am one of the few who actually wants it there. When not under sail it is attached to the toerail. I have a snapshackle as attachment to the traveler car.

Ed, thanks for the kind words. The dodger was $400 cash which included the 1" stainless frame but not the Sunbrella. I purchased 10 yds of Sunbrella Jocky Red on ebay for $93.77. I think Don Farmer used about six yards of the ten.On the traveller- I have been thinking about upgrading the cars as I have great difficulty moving the boom under load when sailing. The line locks one one end or the other of the cam cleat.I think I need to replace the friction cam cleats with a better model. Ians/v Meant to Be

Fancy traveler.

You have one of those fancy travelers Ian. Mine still requires me to pull up on a spring loaded pin and move the car manually. To take the load off I just point up. Wouldn't be much of a racing technique I guess.You got a heck of a price on your dodger. I also have a roll of sunbrella. And I have an old one for a pattern. Would your friend make me one?
