Glad to hear from you. We are in the process of re-evaluating and changing the membership and subscription process and fees. the current arrangement is $25 for new memberships and $12 for renewals (For members within the continental US) but in the past year our technical capabilities have made it possible for us to reduce costs substantially for those who would prefer to receive the newsletter on CD ROM instead of paper.
Without going into a long explanation - if you would accept your subscription to "Fair Winds" on CD ROM, I'll put you on the list for $12 and send you a copy of #11, the issue just released this week, as soon as I receive your check. Your CD will contain, along with "Fair Winds" #11, the complete archive of AVA newsletters, the Vega Owners Repair and Maintenance Manual, and the photo album. Of course, on the CD, the newsletters are in color (The paper newsletter is printed in B&W). All documents are in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format (Free Acrobat rreader available at

The old arrangement was the New Member Package on CD and the Newsletter on paper. This has gotten too expensive for us so, if you want to go with the paper newsletter, You'll have to send $25.
