We learned to sail on a Hunter 34 at Florida Yacht Charters with a very patient Captain Russ. And my wife and I just love Hunters. The good Captain may have needed a long break after teaching my wife and I, but we had a great time. The problem is we never seem to get a chance to keep up our skills. Would or does anyone have any economical(free or very cheap)ways for us to keep sailing. We love sailing, we got the bug. We just need some warm, kind hearted people to take us sailing and make us work. Please, will sail and bring food!

Tell us where you live

I have taken strangers sailing on my boat in the past and it proved to be a good experience. Tell us where in the world you reside and maybe some folks local to your area will need some willing crew.

I'm on my 28.5 an average of 3-4 days a week, most by myself, let us hear from you!!! Austin, Tx. If I was you, I'd look in the 23-26' range and buy something!!! That'll motivate you.

Check out local sailing clubs. They usually provide a reasonably priced way to sail as much as you want. Will keep your skills sharp and sharpening until you make the ownership plunge!

Help Needed/Desired

I know someone who's currently in Antigua on a Freedom 45 who has long & short term crewing opportunities. Diane left Newport in May and is on an extended voyage. You can read about these at the following URL: http://www.ospreysoft.com/SVDreamQuest/
