It was a beautiful brisk day for the run from Dutch Harbor to Stonington. Lee and Lynn filled me with envy by sailing much of it. I'm still waiting for them.
I would have been sailing except for the need to get a lot of hours on this engine soon to finish drying out the insides. I'll be doing a short oil change before leaving Long Island Sound.
Rather than bore you with updates on how the oil still looks like it had just been put in the engine (total of about 10 hours running now), I'll just let you know when it turns black.
This is what the breather line liquid trap looked like at the end of the run. It hasn't looked this clean since I first put it in the boat. Something has been going on with the head gasket of this engine for a long time.
I think life is back to normal.
