Does anyone know how to get out the hardware for the head on a 22. The valves that screw into the hull are frozen and are too close together to turn anyway.
I have found that good penetrating oil (Liquid wrench, etc.) left on for several hours or overnight, seems to loosen any frozen fittings, etc. on my boat.George
I had to cut the valves off on mine. I used a 4" grinder and a hacksaw blade and a dremel tool. You have to be careful not to damage the male threads on the through hull pipe nipple. IT IS EXTREMELY important that you use a back up wrench on the through pipe nipple so it will NOT turn in the fiberglass when you remove old valves and install new ones.
