I need help with o/b motor mount

It appears that the O/B motor mount on the Anniversary Edition of the 222 I recently bought has been used to the extent that the "catch" has worn such that when we put the engine in forward the catch slips and the engine falls to the lowest possible setting. Inspection suggests that we need a new "center catch" metal piece. I have been told that the motor mount may have been "original equipment". I don't know.Can anyone help me???JayCM

Is it worth fixing?

Original equipment or not, the real question is: is it worth fixing? Unless it is an enjoyable task for you, IMHO it isn't worth it to try and fix something like an o/b motor bracket. Because they are relatively inexpensive, they are like toasters or other small appliances; exact replacement parts are not readily available and therefore must either be custom made or jury rigged. It almost is always cheaper to buy a new one.I always like to fix things myself rather than buy new; I like the sense of accomplishment and often enjoy the task itself. However, when confronted with an outboard bracket with broken tension springs, I quickly opted to buy a new model rather than try and repair the old one. The new unit (from D
