I have a 1986 hunter 23 and need a trailer for her. I live in western North Carolina and have the boat docked in Charlotte, NC. I am willing to drive 4 hours away for a good trailer.

Not sure if you want to pay the price for one but I believe Ron Frosisky did measure that boat for Road King. Ron is deceased. Larry Hamm's wife at Road King of all places is located in Asheville, NC. Tell them Crazy Dave sent you to them. They build trailers for many mfgs. to include some for Hunter in the past years.

Thanks Dave. I have spoken with them and was referred to a dealer to obtain a quote I live about an hour from the Asheville plant. What is unbelievable to me is that none of the dealers would call the company and give me a quote. I even gave the dealers the trailer I wanted and could not get a quote. Finally got a reference from Tow Boat at Lake Norman, NC and called a local dealer. Very pricey. Triad trailers in Raleigh will build one for $3000.00. I am trying to avoid this. I spent close to $1000 replacing the axles, tires, brakes, and springs on my H23 trailer, and it was still an old trailer. $3000 for a brand new one isn't bad at all.

Word of caution with any other manufacturer is the length of the support bunks and placement under the hull which do require and I suggest four supports for the bunks each side. You have to remember that in the wrong place, the hull and water tank can be damaged which is why I sent you to Road King as they have the design specs there. I was with Ron when he measured the trailer of an existing Hunter 260 trailer for me.
