Rob, I recently completely refurbished a Cal 34. I ordered all new Ullman sails and am waiting for the rigger to install a Harken roller furler. and the new rub rail I purchased from Steve Seal who was the original rigger for Cal Yachts at the factory. You can go to his web site Seals Spars or link below which is the Cal 20 web site and click on the links there you will get Steve Seal. I'm not familiar with any Cal logo except for the Cal 20 logo. If there is one, Steve Seal would know. Unless you are talking about the big C with the model number in it on all Cal sails.

Thanks for the advice. I wanted to replace my rub rail when I had it off for new paint. I now know to buy a new one. I`ll be contacting Steve about Cal logo`s he might be aware of. Thanks, Rob

Rob: I'm also likely to want to get my hands on a Cal 20 logo, in my case for sails. As far as I can see, only North Sails supply sails with the logos already on them. If I get a discount main, from Sail Warehouse, Sail Exchange, or someone like that, it would be great to get a logo onto it. So can you let us know what you discover? Dick

Sail insignia for Cal 20
Cal 20 sail insignia, from the Cal 20 Class Association Bylaws: (Article XI, Section 2, Paragraph F) The Cal 20 sail insignia shall be a 15 inch (outside diameter) letter "C" of a two-inch strip width. It shall contain the number "20" in figures 6 inches high and one inch wide. The insignia shall be placed on both sides of the mainsail between the two upper battens. The Cal 20 hull number or USSA sail number shall appear on both sides of the mainsail below the Class insignia in numerals at least 10 inches high. Link to the bylaws is here.

There is a picture of a CAL logo, on the cabin side, in an evaluation of a CAL 31 printed in "The Complete Book of Sailboat Buying" Volume II by Practical Sailor Belvoir Publications Inc., 111 East Putnam Ave, Riverside, CT 06878 (probably out of print)I don't know if other CAL models had similar logos.

That's a great job on the exterior, this summer I've got a mooring at the point in Newport harbor, I'd like to take a drive by closer look this summer. I restored this Cal 33, and really enjoyed the entire process.

Burgee
I have a Cal Burgee that I had made with the Yahoo group. We all got together and had about 100 made. If you join that site and post the question I am sure you wioll get the name of the shop that made our flags.....they are great! I fly mine always Greg 1977 Cal 34 III
