I lost my rudder

Hey there:

I let my ODay 22 sailboat bottom out to pressure wash the bottom. In the process I think somehow the rudder got pushed out of the pins that attaches the rudder to the transom. My question is does the original rudder from an ODay 22 float or does it sink to the bottom. I waited for the tide to raise and dove under the docks but did not see anything. Not sure how broad I should make my diving search.

I've never let mine go, but it feels like the bottom is +buoyancy. Might float upside down.
