That I just came back from lunch with Lynn and Larry Pardey! They are in
town touring for her new memoir and a mutual friend asked me to join them,
so there were 4 of us.



She talked a lot, very interesting, but I'd have liked to have heard more
from him. He is taciturn and friendly.



I mined for nuggets and came away with this: Their primary anchor is a CQR.



Like I said - I just had to share.

Fantastic Nicholas! Lynn and Larry are our mentors. With their "go small, go now" philosophy, they inspired us to purchase our Vega, live aboard it for 4 years and go on several lengthy cruises. We met Lynn many years ago at Wooden Boat School after she and Larry had just arrived from Bermuda in Taleisin. Did not get to chat long, as I was sure they were very tired. Finally got to meet them last fall during their lectures at the Newport Boat Show. They rekindled our desire to go cruising again in a few years if health and finances allow.
