It's a fun boat
My first boat was a 1971 Venture 2-22....sort of like an old model Mac 22. I didn't realize how much fun it was to sail until after I sold it....just took everything for granted. It taught me how to sail, was cheap to maintain, and gave much enjoyment. Being the typical sailor, and always looking for something bigger, I now regret not keeping that 2-22 as a "spare." Instead, I took a loss, sold it cheap and now have to tow my Mac 25 between Reno, Lake Tahoe, and San Francisco Bay. When and if I do buy a bigger boat, that Mac 25 will be my new "spare" to remain in the Reno area.
