44 h.p. yanmar, just a small amout of oil comes out of the air cleaner, im not sure when it happens, but i find it in the engine room, just a few drops at a time. The oil is full but not over full, this is not a turbo engine, Yanmar 4jhe. 4 cylinder. The engine seems to run great, starts in a flash, stops fine, runs within normal limits on rpm, usually about 25-28 hundred rpm cruise. it is in my hunter 37c. any suggestions. ED

Hi Ed, how sure are you that it is oil and not diesel? Do you have a service manual? The newer Yanmars might have some emission gear that recycles crankcase fumes. I once had a Saab engine where that recirculating valve failed and it sucked oil right out of the crankcase and into the intake. I know the original 2QM20 and 3QM30 had no such emissions gear so my manual would be no help.

Mixing Elbo
How many hours do you have on the engine,I had trouble running my2GM20 once and it was a clogged mixeing elbo,try cleaning it. nick

this engine runs fine no other problem,
there are no sofisticated emissions equipment on the 4jhe. studied the manual no help. maye its time to call the dealer.
