I have a screw loose!

Good day everyone. I just bought my Hunter 376 and joined the forum. I noticed the screw on the sail track gate is the wrong size. Can anyone tell me what size screw goes in there to keep the gate attached to the mast?

Remove the screw and buy a SAE and metric screw the next size up.

Actually there is an oversized screw in there now that won't go in. I didn't want to strip threads, so was wondering if there was a way to know the correct size.

Correct size is trial and error............try a one size smaller SAE and metric self tapping screw. If that does not work drill it out slightly to screw in larger SAE or metric self tapping screw.
